What is PlowPros?
An on-demand app connecting drivers with customers for fast, reliable snow removal.
How do I sign up as a driver?
Early signups can click the driver signup button on the home page. We will send you an email asking for your credentials to get you verified before the app is available to download.
How do drivers get paid?
Through secure, instant payouts with Stripe.
A new Stripe account's first payout takes 7-14 business days, but subsequent payouts are faster, typically within 2-3 business days, depending on your account's payout schedule. You can also enable instant payouts, which deposit funds to your bank account within 30 minutes.
How much do I get paid?
Payment is based off the going rate for your area. For example if the average rate for professional service in your area is an 80 dollar minimum you will be paid 80 dollars. If the plow time exceeds 30 minutes you will be paid per minute after 30 to compensate you for your time.
How much does PlowPros charge?
PlowPros charges the customer a small service fee for using the app and receiving plowing on demand. This app costs money to maintain as well as the servers to run it. Unfortunately this isn't free but the general consensus from homeowners is they would rather pay a little extra for timely service
What are the benefits to early signup for subcontractors?
Each and every business is required to provide a COI as well as their business license and ID. The verification process generally takes 2-3 days but in some cases longer. Early signups will have their credentials verified before the app is live and will be able to use the app as soon as its open to the public.
What is Operation Winter Warrior?
Operation Winter Warrior is a joint initiative between Plow Pros and Battle Dawgs designed to support U.S. military veterans during Alaska’s harsh winter months. The program provides free snow-removal services to eligible veterans who may struggle with physical limitations, financial hardship, medical challenges, or other obstacles that make winter maintenance difficult.
Battle Dawgs identifies and refers veterans in need, and Plow Pros delivers the equipment, manpower, and on-the-ground support to ensure safe access to homes, driveways, and essential daily activities during snow events.
The goal of Operation Winter Warrior is simple:
No veteran should be left struggling in the snow — especially not after everything they’ve done for our country.
The program currently operates in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, with plans to expand into additional states as resources allow.
Can drivers set their own rates?
Plowing is standardized, but salting and sanding rates are set by the driver.
How fast can I get plowed out?
Customers are placed in a driver’s queue (max 3 jobs per driver). Your position is shown, and once the driver is en route, you’ll see an ETA.
Can I schedule ahead of time?
No—PlowPros eliminates scheduling so you get service when you actually need it.
How do i know if a subcontractor is worth hiring?
We have a mandatory rating system for both homeowners and subcontractors to weed out the problematic people. If a homeowner or driver is receiving multiple bad reviews an investigation will take place and we will determine if they need to be removed from the app.
How does Salt/Sand work?
There is a toggle for Salt/Sand. If you offer this service you can turn it on and provide another source of revenue for your business. PlowPros charges a 10% service fee to the contractor for Salt/Sand but gives you the freedom to choose your price for this service.
